Dieter Rams: 10 Principles for Good Design, Evaluation

Before when I would look at objects that I found appealing I would not think about what made them appealing to me.  It would just be an instant snap in my head and I would know that I liked a certain aspect of the product and that I would want to collect that item and be able to make it mine.  After reading through Dieter Rams, Ten Principles For A Good Design, I can now more thoroughly evaluate what exactly makes a product pop in a viewers mind.  I can now more easily realize the exact part of a product that I enjoy.  Through innovation, usefulness, aesthetics, understandability, unobtrusiveness, honesty, durability, detail, eco-friendliness, and simplicity, a product can be made beautiful. Now not all products will contain greatness in all ten of these factors. but it is the attention you pay to the factors you choose when making a product that will truly make that object beautiful and well designed.
